Integrate Your Communications for Better Efficiency and Broader Coverage
In today’s fast-paced online world, keeping up with communication can be challenging. You’re Twittering, blogging, posting to your Facebook page, writing Ezine articles (not to mention writing autoresponders and email campaigns). You’re also trying to keep with others’ Tweets, posts and articles.
This constant flurry of activity can impact your focus which is why we recommend that you integrate as much of your communications as you can to increase your efficiency and broaden your coverage.
More online tools mean more opportunities for you to communicate with your various audiences. This is great and technology allows you to link much of your communications together seamlessly. Here’s how:
1. Link your Facebook page to your Twitter account
This lets your Twitter followers know you’ve initiated communication on a given topic in that forum. Since Facebook allows you to write lengthier posts, your Twitter followers who have ‘friended’ you on Facebook will have the opportunity to read your expanded post and join in on the discussion.
2. Link your Twitter account to your Facebook page. (Maybe not.)
You need to think about your individual situation to decide whether this is the best course of action for you. If you Tweet 10 times a day, will that drive your Facebook community crazy to receive notices of your constant Tweets? Also, consider if your Facebook and Twitter communities are different or if you approach each of them differently. If you do, linking these two accounts may not be in your best interest.
3. Link your blog to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
As soon as your blog entry goes live, a message will appear on your Facebook page, announcing the title of your blog - and its Tweeted as well. This allows you to focus on the content of your blog, knowing that your audiences will know it’s posted without you having to tell them yourself.
4. Link your EzineArticles.com subscription to Facebook and Twitter
Same reasoning as #3. Make communicating with your audiences as easy on yourself as possible so you can focus on the messages themselves and not the delivery.
Knowing you can efficiently link your various communications together might inspire some of you to jump in and begin using all of these communication forums. If you do, you’ll broaden your communication coverage and build your online presence and authority.
